Workshop on Next Generation Repositories

Abstract

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh. We would like to warmly welcome you to this workshop, which is organised jointly by the Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Library, Universiti Malaysia Perlis and the Librarians Association of Malaysia. As many of you will remember, Workshop on Next Generation Repositories is a follow up to Seminar And Workshop “Self-Archiving, Open Access And Institutional Repository that took place in December 19-20, 2017. Judging from the wide participation of System Librarians and Institutional Repository Librarians across the Public and Private Higher Institutions in Malaysia, this workshop will provide excellent opportunities towards redesigning future repositories for scholarly contents. Let me start by expressing my appreciations towards all the speakers and presenters for their willingness to share their insights on future repositories. We hope that this workshop will serve as a guideline for Malaysian Librarians towards optimizing repositories to promote transformation of scholarly communication. We thank everyone for participating in this workshop.
