Supply chain strategies play a vital role towards achieving the goals of organizations in competitive markets. Most of the studies related to supply chain management are in the big manufacturing industries. There are some studies on supply chain strategies in those fields but there is hardly any study conducted in retailing about the role of strategies towards the operational performance of retail chain stores. Objective: The aim of present study is to explore the influence of supply chain strategies towards retail supply chain efficiency. Results: Out of three strategies, lean strategy was found to be most significant followed by agile and hybrid strategies to influence the efficiency of retail supply chain. Conclusion: So retail managers striving for better supply chain performance should apply these strategies in a way so that they can create a competitive advantage over others by increasing the overall supply chain performance. |
