Masalah kemahiran berkomunikasi dalam kalangan murid bukanlah suatu fenomena yang baru. Kebimbangan komunikasi boleh menganggu perkembangan kerjaya pelajar. Pelajar perlu mengasah bakat terutama dalam berkomunikasi agar yakin memasuki dunia pendidikan dan kerjaya yang lebih mencabar. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan mengenalpasti perubahan selepas mengikuti intervensi kaunseling terhadap dengan kebimbangan komunikasi dalam kalangan murid di salah sebuah sekolah menengah di Utara Semenanjung Malaysia.  Responden kajian yang terlibat telah mengikuti sesi kaunseling kelompok sebanyak six sesi menggunakan pendekatan Teori Kognitif Tingkah Laku. Metodologi kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif iaitu melibatkan kajian kes. Analisis kajian menggunakan teknik tematik analisis daripada transkrip empat orang pelajar. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan teknik yang digunakan dalam mengurangkan kebimbangan komunikasi iaitu teknik relaksasi dan teknik pengstrukturan kognitif membantu mengurangkan kebimbangan dan memberi keyakinan untuk berkomunikasi. Selain itu, perubahan dari segi pemikiran dan perasaan iaitu rasa yakin, berani, berfikiran positif dan relaks telah membuktikan Teori Kognitif Tingkah Laku dapat mengurang kebimbangan komunikasi pelajar-pelajar di sekolah.

Kesejahteraan pekerja berkait rapat dengan keseimbangan kerja dan kehidupan peribadi. Wanita yang sudah berkahwin dan bekerja memerlukan tanggungjawab terhadap tempat kerja dan rumah. Ketidakseimbangan akan menimbulkan konflik dalam diri serta menyebabkan berlakunya stres. Stres bukan sahaja memberi kesan terhadap kesihatan mental tetapi juga kepada kesihatan fizikal dan tingkah laku. Ianya bergantung kepada daya tahan, sokongan sosial dan personaliti seseorang. Peranan wanita hari ini berbeza sama sekali berbanding dahulu. ramai wanita kini mempunyai kerjaya dalam bidang kepakaran mereka. Namun begitu, terutamanya untuk mencapai keseimbangan antara keperluan pekerja serta tanggungjawab keluarga adalah satu cabaran dan cabaran bukanlah satu tugas yang mudah. Oleh itu, kertas kerja ini membincangkan pengaruh penjagaan diri, keseimbangan kerja dan daya tahan terhadap kesejahteraan diri wanita yang berkerjaya.

The presence of communication apprehension may impede the development of proficient communication abilities among students when they transition into the professional realm. Therefore, the primary aim of this research is to evaluate the usability and efficacy of the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Theories (SFBCB) module in managing communication apprehension among students enrolled in higher education institutions (HEI). The present study utilizes a mixed-methods design, integrating both quantitative and qualitative research tools. A sample of 11 counsellors was selected for interviews, utilizing thematic analysis technique. A group comprising 30 undergraduate students participated in a quasi-experimental study employing pre- and post-tests to evaluate the efficacy of the SFBCB module. The Personnel Report Communication Apprehension (PRCA-24) questionnaire was used to look at changes in people's fear of communication in four different settings: group discussions, interpersonal conversations, meetings, and public speaking. The research data was analyzed using SPSS software version 23.0, utilizing a paired T-test. The study showed that the SFBCB module had a statistically significant effect on the treatment, as shown by the fact that the mean score dropped from 82.33 to 61.73. Based on the interviews conducted with counsellors, it is evident that the SFBCB module possesses well-defined objectives, a concise time frame, a congenial environment, and a methodical framework, which proves to be advantageous. In conclusion, the implementation of the SFBCB module holds promise for reducing anxiety levels related to communication and improving the psychological well-being of students.

<summary type="text">Factors of Suicide Attempts: A Case Study According to Islamic Perspective Counseling

Lately, the issue of suicide in Malaysia has increasing, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Data from the Malaysian Ministry of Health reports that suicide is among the 10 leading causes of death in the world and the fourth leading cause of death for those aged 15 to 29 years. This article explains how the life of a respondent who tried to commit suicide. The objective of this study is to explore the factors that cause suicide attempts and suicide laws according to the Islamic perspective. The methodology of this study uses a qualitative approach that is by using case studies. Snowball sampling is used in this study by focusing on a respondent who has a history of suicide attempts. The participant is a male student studying at IPTS in Kedah. The analysis of the data obtained from the respondents shows that the occurrence of family factors, love break-ups, failure in academics, being influenced by the media that spread the news of suicide, lack of knowledge related to aqidah and not understanding the concept of tests. These factors can be used to help counselors formulate strategies according to an Islamic perspective that are effective to help this special population either at the level of protection, prevention, or recovery.
